Video is 30 frames per second of action..breathing life into stills if done right. Video is not a glorified slide show zooming in and out. It is taking, transporting your viewer eight states away, a continent many time zones distant instantly to the property, to your community event, helping them connect instantly with you, the local professon "meeting" them at the town line to show them around. Talking to them one on one, in your own words, explaining the real estate, getting them down by the lakeshore beach to hear the loons, see the waves, hear ducks quack quack paddling by. Video uses more than the eyeballs..and audio is 40 percent of that video. Video shows the layout, what's around the property. It takes the viewer who you don't know, that has never been to your area to the local high school graduation, to the hospital, library, local donut shop and 4th of july parade. Branding you in the background thru out the process. Video gets watched while a airline flyer is delayed for a few hours with his laptop, cell phone. It is real estate, community events, you delivered to the buyer on their time table...not yours. Video is an open house 24/7 working hard when you are sleeping, off the clock. Video is always available. Have 400 of the puppies working their tails off. Linked to emails, property information sheets, on social media sites. Use more than youtube and upload to realtor.com plus do a non-branded version for the local / state mls upload too. Still just talking about video? The horse is out of the barn...he left two years ago so you have some catching up to do. http://www.youtube/mooersrealty

Video is a great medium to engage buyers, espically when you can combine into a full presentation, with PowerPoint. We can help Real Estate agents create pre-recorded presentions, or to meet buyers online live with video.David Corcoranhttp://www.batipi.com

I purchased a new HP laptop with Vista Premium. Windows Movie Maker does not work properly, in fact, ULead's and Roxio's products don't work on Vista either. I have been trying to get all three products working, but with customer support the way it is these days with software companies, I am pretty much have to try to figure it out on my own. Here is an example of modern tech supportAlso, I was out shooting some video for one of our websites AND - it's harder than I thought to shoot good video. I suggest spending more for a camera than you might want to and a better tripod. Getting good zoom, fades, and rotating scenes are smoother with better equipment.

Obviously video will be somewhat subjective. I believe a “GOOD” video will include steady shots that pan from room to room. Video in witch the narrator is not “over talking” and adding key value statements. Subtle music will add to the allure. Introduction screens to display address and real estate agent information. It may be easier to answer what makes a bad video and for that I would say shaky pictures, loud and crackly narration, rapid zoom, etc.
