Take a close look at both the Uniform Electronic Transaction Act of 1999 and the <a href="http://www.ftc.gov/os/2001/06/esign7.htm" rel="nofollow">eSign of 2000</a>. They both clearly state that an eSignature is not unenforceable simply because it is in electronic form. And a contact executed with an eSignature may not be denied enforceability solely because electronic means were used in its formation.
