HomeGain Offers New Tool For Sellers

By NikNik · December 18, 2007

HomeGain recently announced the addition of a helpful new tool…the Home Sale Maximizer. This user-friendly resource guides sellers in identifying repairs needed to maximize their overall home sale. Agents can also make great use of this tool for setting listing prices, and showing sellers how they can increase the salability of their home. Louis Cammarosano, General Manager of HomeGain adds, “With the addition of Home Sale Maximizer to its product suite, HomeGain now offers consumers the ability to get a instant free home valuation without registration as well as information on how to make their homes worth more.”

Here is a quick run down of how the Home Sale Maximizer can benefit sellers and agents:

  • Identify key repairs
  • Use checklist to prioritize home improvements
  • Determine which projects will increase your salability
  • Prepare your sellers for market
  • Set a more appropriate list price for the home
  • Send sellers the link prior to listing presentation
  • Utilize within your listing presentation

Unfortanately there are lots of ways for prospective sellers to contact our competition who have paid to get leads from Homegain. “Check here to see what your home is worth.” “Find the best agent in your town.” Etc, etc. Unwitting home sellers don’t know that the agents are paying to be on Homegain. Sellers don’t realize that the best agents don’t have to pay someone else to send them clients. Thanks, but no thanks.

As many of my projects require research, I often speak with real estate agents across the country. I’ve found many agents who love HomeGain’s home improvement tool. Some of these agents, by the way, have subscribed to HomeGain for 8 years or longer, which speaks for itself in my opinion! Some agents use the web version, other agents like to keep the brochure, which is a slick piece with a sliding ruler that shows the different areas of the country and corresponding home improvement cost, on their office lobby table. No other company offers this technology, plus it’s free! When it comes time to sell a home, you can never have enough resources to help you, especially in a down market.

My parents are going through an annoyingly hard time getting qualified buyers to put an offer in on their California home. At
least their agent is really qualifying the people putting in their submissions. We’ll see if the agent is decent or not when
    a real offer comes in.
I’m glad I’m not selling a house right now. So, so glad.
