Hi Nik Nik,

Took the assessment and did great on the internal…suck on the external. Can you expound on those a little more in an upcoming blog, or point me in the direction of directions? Chuck- Widgets can definitely be an issue. But rather than just looking in at your blog….there are so many things you can do outside your blog to take you to the next level.

You don't need to feel like you have to add something to your blog to make it better. Reaching out beyond your blog can bring you great success too. Besides visiting social networking sites, how do you interact with your community? Do you employ any offline tactics?

For example, if an agent is farming a particular neighborhood than he/she should spend some quality time getting to know those folks, the local businesses, school, and other community hubs. Creating an offline newsletter with community info and a call to action is one way to lead your farm community to your blog community. However, you better have a professional looking blog packed with compelling content to keep your new readers informed and entertained once they get there.

Great article — I look forward to your insights after the conference.

I am always on the hunt to find ways to improve my blog. The one downside of doing this is that sometimes when I grab a great new widget, or add a new feature, it crashes my blog. Or at a minimum it creates havoc with other plug-ins and widgets. This is especially true with WordPress ( I remember how much angst the upgrade to V2.5 caused many people.) PodPress ran amok the other week and brought my blog to its knees, as an example.

So, there's always the inner conflict….get the newest bells and whistles, versus "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
