But how about not adding to the hysteria by freaking buyers/sellers out! Just give them the facts....and your PROFESSIONAL expertise! :) Ben- Perhaps NAR should sport something like...."Now is a great time to buy if you have patience, persistence, and win the lottery!" Mark- Well said! I've been working with a couple of brokers here in the SF Bay Area and they tell a similar tale. Especially when working with folks in areas riddled with foreclosures like Tracy, Antioch, and Brentwood. Makes for A LOT of frustration!!! Tyler – I think you should definitely speak the truth. Everything is moving at a snail's pace and somewhere an out of town buyer was given the impression that they were going to come in and throw some low ball offers at foreclosures. I think the typical responses that a lot of agents have been giving for years about "homes values are always going up" are not going to work in today's market and only help to further the distrust of RE agents.
