interesting post. i do feel that the internet is changing how poverty is dealt with.

for my part, i turn to sites like freerice, kiva, and goodsearch, as ways to help alleviate poverty online.

Great post. I’ve really had a lot of luck using facebook for social causes. They have an application aptly named “Causes” that allows a person to post a page for a cause. It is hooked in with Network for Good and as the capacity to enable donations.

I think Causes also works on MySpace, but in my experience the MySpace application is not as robust as the Facebook one.
