If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you’re in luck! Not just because the beauty of fall is among us, but because BiztechDay is just a couple of weeks away! Saturday, October 25th to be exact! And if you haven’t registered already, now is the time to take advantage of the special discount for MyTechOpinion readers. BTW-You don’t have to live in the Bay Area to enjoy this event, if you are looking for a purposeful getaway, San Francisco would love to host you! The weather is gorgeous and there is plenty to do before and after BiztechDay!
But first, let me tell you why should be at BiztechDay. For starters, this day is about putting business before technology. With New Media taking over and online avenues becoming a marketing must for small businesses, it can be an overwhelming task to kick start your own Web 2.0 business plan. So BiztechDay takes a step back from technological enthusiasm and a step forward in the direction of practical application. Learn real tips and advice from business experts on:
- How to setup your online merchant accounts
- How to setup your first podcast
- How to create your own social network
- How to start your own blog
- How to determine good or bad affiliate marketing
- How to create and upload video on YouTube
- How to setup your first email newsletter
- How to design user-friendly business website
- How to drive more traffic to your website
- How to measure your website performance
- How to promote your event online
- And much more!
I will be there presenting “Creating a Web Presence for Your Business” along with Rick Rochon from AdSymetrix. And I somehow ended up at the Genius Desk…where I will be offering step-by-step instructions for a variety of technical inquiries.
I’m actually more excited to attend and connect with Tim Ferriss, bestselling author of “The 4 Hour Work Week” who will deliver the keynote speech. Other speakers include: Megan Casey from Squidoo, George Wright from Blendtec, Stu Carty from Constant Contact, Ann Evanston from eWomenNetwork, and Jack Mardack from Eventbrite. Click here for a complete list of speakers.
Okay…back to that discount I mentioned. Visit the Biztechday.com to register and use the coupon code “NicoleFriends” and receive a $50 discount! Tickets are $249 w/o the code, and $199 with the code. The event is being held at The Hilton on O’Farrell in San Francisco, from 8am-5pm on Saturday, October 25th. Click here for the schedule. And be sure to tell the sitter you’ll be home after dark as you’re invited to take part in Happy Hour at the Urban Tavern. See you there!
Conference Connecting Tip: Be sure to label your media with the BiztechDay hash tag: #BTD08. Use it to tag your tweets on Twitter, photos on Flickr, videos, etc. Also, Reggie will be live blogging the event and his updates will be streamed in real time on MyTechOpinion.
