SMS Widget Makes Connecting Immediate…No Superpowers Required

By Reggie · October 9, 2008

Real estate technology blogger Matt Rains has created a new and useful SMS widget for your website or blog. The goal behind this widget is simple, allow visitors to connect with you quickly. And you’ll receive the phone number of the online individual reaching out.

Consumers move fast these days and they want immediate attention. The powerful element behind text messaging…is its immediacy. It’s also proving to be the way in which many communicate.

According to Nielsen, the average mobile subscriber in the US sent and received more SMS text messages than mobile telephone calls during Q2 2008.

Hey Reggie – what a cool tool! I just installed it on my site and will tell you how it goes. Already received feedback that you get an error message when using Safari but ok on FF and IE.

I used a chatting widget for a while and had no luck with it – I truly think that texting is more efficient – THANKS!!!

    Aghh that Safari. :)

I’ll pass the info to Matt.

That’s got to be the best TOS I’ve ever agreed to. It’s like 3 sentences. Beautiful!

Unfortunately this tool is another reason I need to leave our free-host and join the self-hosted world. It won’t allow it. Doh!

  5. Matt Rains says:

Yeah, that TOS was really hard to think of. haha. I like to make things quick and simple.

Great widget … just now placed on my site. One question … can the time at top be changed; and if so, how? I’m in the central time zone.

Has anyone received a response from these people when asking a question???
