This is very true in coastal areas of Thailand where the virtual or digital market has become in my opinion too popular. Many people planning to move to my country just can’t wait and often purchase and rent property without personally viewing the premises, this of course leads to great disappointment later. This is why I refuse to take online purchases and bookings for long term rentals and strongly advise my clients to first view potential new homes in person before spending any money. Alas many of my fellow agents here are happy to do so leaving me at loss I guess to part of the market.

This was a really eye-opening report, and points to the fact that real estate investors really need to change with the times. I’m particularly fascinated by the growth of mobile and local search, and if you really think about it, most people are joined at the hip to their mobile devices. I think this is where investors in this field should concentrate on. Most sites can’t be accessed via mobile, meaning that most real estate is sitting idly vacant just because someone hasn’t thought about mobile optimization.
