Is the homegain model free for agents to use or a paid service?

Like other agents, I've only used the activerain platform for blogging - but seems to be very competitive.

@Ann - It's my pleasure!

@Ken - Totally agree! Local search adds the consumer's experience. I love the idea of looking for homes and then being able to research the community or neighborhood.

@Rebecca - Sweet! Let me know how it goes.

I have tried that realeflow package, but my problem with it was it's lack of directly connecting to the county's official records. I ended up trying Real Estate Pro (www.RealPro.info) and fell in love with the features that would show me PDF images of the official records directly from within their program.

check it out and support these guys, they make great tools

Hey Matt,
Glad you liked it!

So are you saying that you would like to set boundaries with latitude and longitude so you could pull data specifically from within those boundaries? That does sound useful. -Reg

Reggie,

Once again you have blown my engineering mind by boiling this down to a level of implementation. I have long been a fan of the Google Local feature and tried to promote it on a number of levels. Do you know if they have any plans of allowing the search to focus more on Geo-coding with Lat and Long instead of zipcodes? I was talking with the guys at Onboard LLC. www.onboardllc.com and that's one of the features that they are offering agents that work in markets like ours that are crossing Zip and MLS areas.

Great post.
